Job Description
The role of the Housekeeping Supervisor is to ensure that the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms, public areas, back of house and landings meet Omni four star / four diamond standards. Responsibilities include : following Omni's Moments of Service or Forbes Service standards as applicable, inspecting the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and public areas, assigning special projects as directed by the Director of Housekeeping, reporting any needed repairs or discrepancies of guest rooms, ensuring that all Guest Room Attendants have appropriate supplies and linens, assisting in the cleaning of guest rooms when necessary, assisting in processing AM and PM room status reports, ensuring that the Guest Room Attendant's linen cart is neat and well organized, ensuring that linen closets on guest room floors are completely stocked, maintaining supply cage stock, neat and clean at all times, ensuring all guest rooms are punched in via the phone after completion, ensuring VIP rooms are inspected ASAP, ensuring check out / vacated rooms are a priority, knowledge of hotel, facilities and events, ensuring hotel, guest and associates are maintained in a safe and secure environment, checking vacant rooms, verifying status and updating status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift, checking DND rooms in accordance with hotel procedures and verifying status, marking dirty sheets of randomly selected assigned rooms and following up to ensure Room Attendants have changed bed sheets, counseling Room Attendants on any discrepancies, completing work orders for maintenance repairs and submitting to Engineering, conducting training of staff as assigned, monitoring and handling guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction, providing feedback on staff performance to manager, reporting disciplinary problems to manager and participating in the counseling of employees, preparing VIP rooms, and any other job duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
Previous housekeeping and / or other relevant hotel experience required, able to maintain 4-Diamond and 4-Star level cleanliness standards, able to work with management on special projects, able to set priorities for your section and provide feedback to others that enhances performance, strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, ability to work and perform effectively in a fast-paced role, maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance, must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance, stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
