American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT MR certification and Siemens MRI equipment experience for a rotating schedule in a short-term acute care setting.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position based in the MRI Operating Room (IMRIS), part of a short-term acute care hospitalRotating 12-hour day and night shifts (6 : 30–19 : 00 or 18 : 30–07 : 00) following training, with training on day shifts prior to rotationWork schedule may include M–F 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts during orientation depending on casesNo on-call, weekend, or holiday requirements during orientation; once independent, potential for one Saturday per month if neededCaseload of 100–150 scans per techPatients range from outpatient to inpatient, ER, Level 1 trauma, NICU, adult ICUSiemens equipment in use (Espree, Trio, Aera, Skyra, Sola, Vida)EPIC EMR system in use; Epic experience preferredCandidates may be required to float within the hospital as needed by service lineRole includes IMRIS (MRI Operating Room) responsibilities with approximately 2 months of training before independent scanningExposure to a range of imaging studies, including abdomen, pelvis, head / neck, chest, breast, spine, musculoskeletal, and moreFirst-time travelers are acceptedFlexible orientation schedule to maximize training based on case availabilityScrub color is blackParking available for a monthly fee; night shift parking is freeFacial hair must allow for proper fit testing or will require shavingReturn staff must wait one year before returning as a travelerMaximum of 7 days requested time off per 13-week contract; no time off allowed during the first weekWork in a Level 1 trauma, academic teaching hospital environment\n \n Requirements\n
Current ARRT MR certification requiredMinimum of 1 year MRI experience required, with OR, Interventional, or HiFU experience preferredSiemens MRI equipment experience requiredBLS certification requiredProficiency starting IVs and with PACS preferredExperience with advanced MRI protocols and post-processing preferredMust reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not acceptedPending state license accepted if applicable—license required if applicableReferences from past two years preferred\n Benefits\n
