MEP Construction Estimator

We operate as a fully integrated, full-service enterprise, with resources and experience covering the full spectrum of construction, real estate development, property management, and finance.

Leon D. DeMatteis Construction is seeking multiple MEP construction estimators to support current and future projects. Our estimating department is fully based in our Long Island Headquarters in Elmont.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and construction sequencing.
• Proven experience as a construction estimator, with a minimum of 5 years in commercial construction projects.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software, such as Procore, Bluebeam, Quickmeasure, and / or similar tools.
• Exceptional analytical skills to accurately assess project costs and budgets.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and vendors.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and completeness of estimates.
• Working knowledge of local NYC building codes, DOB requirements, and permitting processes (preferred).
