ARRT R, BLS

Mandatory Experience :

• Mammography Tech
• 1 Yr Exp, 2 years of full-time mammography experience strongly preferred.
• NEED ACTIVE WA LIC
• Must be open to floating to other campuses
• Proficiency in diagnostic and screening mammograms.
• Patient Age Group : Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• All techs new to department have 25 exams observed by another tech before working on own

Perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting. Responsible for producing high quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner. Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA.

• 3-D Mammography
• Diagnostic Mammograms
• Fine Needle Aspirations
• Needle Localizations
• Screening Mammograms
• Stereotactic Biopsy
• Ability to accurately produce high quality diagnostic mammographic images.
• Ability to perform, in conjunction with the physician staff, related special procedures.
• Working knowledge of breast anatomy, proper radiographic exposure factors and procedures for mandated quality control activities.
• Working knowledge of a variety of x-ray equipment and associated applications (specifically mammography and processing units).
• Certifications (REQUIRED) : BLS, ARRT
