Healthcare Administrative
Join our Business Office team at the College of Dentistry! We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented person to play a key role in supporting our dentistry revenue cycle. You will be contributing to our success by helping patients navigate the complexities of insurance and ensuring their financial well-being!
Responsibilities :
Insurance Coordination and Financial Counseling / Planning
o Counsel dental students and patients on estimated insurance coverage / benefits and out of pocket expenses for upcoming appointments.
o Set up monthly payment plans per college guidelines.
o Advise providers on maximizing insurance benefits for patient care.
o Communicate insurance coverage lapses or maxed benefits to providers and managers.
o Forward preauthorization and claim appeal requests to appropriate offices.
o Monitor patient accounts, initiate refunds, and contact delinquent accounts.
Account Management
o Collect balances and down-payments, record transactions in Patient Accounting System (PAS).
o Reconcile cash collections, ensuring financial accuracy.
o Process credit card transactions.
Student Education
o Instruct students on checking insurance eligibility and benefits.
o Guide students in formulating affordable treatment plans.
o Communicate necessary documentation for successful insurance claims adjudication.
Communication and Collaboration
o Share relevant information with the team for streamlined operations.
o Direct patient complaints to Patient Representatives for resolution.
Salary : $49,968 (Pay Grade : 3A)
Schedule : Monday Friday, 8 : 00am 5 : 00pm
May require occasional overtime.

Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
High level, fast-paced customer service experience in a financial, health care, or other relevant environment including :
o Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
o Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
o Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, calendaring, and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft or Google).
o Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and handle difficult and complex situations.
o Demonstrated active listening skills.
o Experience utilizing conflict management / resolution skills and de-escalation techniques.
o Demonstrated ability to facilitate positive outcomes by collaborating and working in a team environment.
