Head of Pharmacovigilance

Salary Range : $315,000 – $355,000

About the Role

A Bay Area based biopharmaceutical company is seeking a Head of Pharmacovigilance to lead global safety efforts across clinical and commercial programs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic and medical leadership for all pharmacovigilance activities.
Oversee global PV systems, including QPPV activities and vendor management.
Direct case processing, safety review, signal detection, and regulatory safety reporting.
Ensure compliance with major international safety regulations and support global launches.
Represent PV during Health Authority interactions, inspections, and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

MD or equivalent with clinical training.

12+ years of pharmacovigilance or medical safety experience in biotech / pharma.

Strong knowledge of U.S. and EU safety regulations; additional global experience preferred.

Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and lead PV functions in a fast-paced environment.
