The Loss Prevention Officer will be responsible for protecting assets at mobile warehouses and products in transit by creating strong processes in the supply chain, reviewing CCTV and working with employees and both internal and external partners. The role involves interacting with various levels of management, analytical tools, large data sets and working with external teams to identify and mitigate security risk throughout the supply chain. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, possess the ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with management and Key Business Partners on all matters regarding shrink, losses and supply chain fraud as well as to ensure gathering of vital evidence.
- Conducts Supply Chain Security and Cargo Theft Awareness training.
- Analyzes data to identify trends of losses associated with Supply Chain exposures. Mitigates Supply Chain exposures in assigned Geographical Area.
- Responds to Supply Chain Critical Incidents. This may include travel to locations where loss originated without notice.
- Supports shipment deliveries from origin to end user merchandise touch points within the supply chain including vendor shipments, consolidators, third party logistics (3PL)centers, distribution centers, cross dock shipments and store deliveries.
- Maximize partnerships with internal and external management staff from business teams across verticals that include Engineers, Logistics, Trade Ops, Legal, Risk Management, Customer Service, Freight Forwarders and other 3PLs.
- Assist in providing programs for employees, the facility, and company to deter illegal or unethical acts that may impact the safety, security, or financial well-being of the company.
- Assist in improving the work environment, by suggesting and implementing ideas for greater efficiency and the overall quality of a safe and secure work environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job-related experience.4 years of related experience in Loss Prevention Investigations and / or criminal investigations.Ability to comprehend business systems for analytical data extraction.Knowledge of skills related to various; legal, distribution centers, transportation industry, legal, 3PL's, distribution and logistics operations, trucking and transportation industry.Preferred experience working within large distribution centers across multiple locations.Highly skilled in issue management, organization, interviewing, interpersonal communication, conflict management, information gathering, and active listening.Strong investigative and analytical skills.Effective communication skills and able to cascade information both written and verbal communication skills.Computer skills include : Microsoft Suite.Experience in using CCTV (with multiple configurations and vendors highly desired).Experience with Warehouse and Inventory Management Systems (SAP, Cofe, WMS, TMS) preferred, not required.Pay and Benefits
