Now Hiring : Paramedics & EMTs - Join the Gold Standard in EMS
Beaufort County EMS is seeking highly skilled and dedicated EMS professionals to join our premier, non-fire-based 911 emergency medical service. Our department is proud to offer one of the most desirable shift schedules in the industry and anticipates implementing a 24 / 72 rotation effective January 1, 2026, providing the work-life balance today's EMS professionals deserve.
What Makes Beaufort County EMS Different :
Dedicated 911 EMS Response - We are not fire-based and do not provide routine facility transports.
No Firefighting Duties - Focus exclusively on emergency medical response.
Anticipated 24 / 72 Shift Schedule (Effective January 1, 2026) - Extended recovery and personal time built into your schedule.
Competitive Compensation - Includes salary, benefits, and paid holidays.
High-Quality Resources - Modern equipment, professional uniforms, and body armor provided.
Balanced Call Volume - Approximately 21,000 calls annually with 11 frontline ambulances and 5 Quick Response Vehicles (QRVs). Unlike larger systems with the same number of units responding to 50,000+ calls, our structure supports better call distribution, less fatigue, and higher quality patient care.
We understand the challenges EMS personnel face in dual-response or transport-heavy systems. At Beaufort County EMS, we've built a structure that allows you to focus on what you do best-delivering exceptional pre-hospital care.
