We are a family owned bar in the historic Old Sacramento neighborhood looking for a hard-working reliable team player to join us. We have a small kitchen that puts out a menu of great shareable bar food. As the cook you will be in charge of the kitchen during your shift - it's a one person show. The kitchen part of this job involves preparing food orders, running food, washing dishes and cleaning up. The bar back position involves everything to help the bar tender except making drinks. You'll be refilling the ice wells, cleaning up glassware around the bar, running the dishwasher, restocking liquor, beer, and anything else the bar tender needs. The right candidate will be able to multitask and prioritize what is important in a fast-paced environment. Preparation, cleanliness, and time management are keys to success here. This is a great opportunity for someone with some kitchen food service background who wants to learn more about working in a bar and gain some front of house experience. You will be tipped out by the bar tender every shift. Must be available on weekends.
