You'll help transition key processes from paper to digital, document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensure a smooth and timely month-end close. Responsibilities of Staff Accountant :

Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual month-end close process in an accurate and timely manner

Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

Prepare and analyze financial reporting packages for internal stakeholders

Lead efforts in digitizing manual processes and enhancing efficiencies across the accounting department

Write, update, and maintain clear and thorough Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all relevant accounting functions

Assist with external audits and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete

Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting

Serve as a key contributor and problem-solver within the staff accountant team

Maintain compliance with internal controls and company policies

Take ownership of assigned general ledger accounts and ensure their integrity

Embrace change and bring a positive attitude to evolving systems and workflows as a staff accountant

Qualifications of Staff Accountant :

Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree a plus)

3-5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably as a staff accountant

Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team
