Heartland Traffic Services (HTS) provides pavement markings and traffic control on roads and parking lots in numerous locations throughout Kansas and Missouri. Due to recent and continuous growth, our company is looking for an Operations Manager to join our team to support the company's operational functions.
Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all contract and non-contract work for the branch. Job duties encompass all aspects of management including direction and supervision of personnel and projects from start to completion.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Supervise and direct the activities of the department.
- Follow and enforce the company safety and training programs.
- Organize personnel, equipment, and materials to meet project demands.
- Develop schedules for crews and oversee the creation of project schedule to ensure completion of the project in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate with the General Superintendent, General Contractor, and Owner to ensure availability for upcoming work, conflict resolution and overall project management.
- Oversee material purchases for all projects and oversee and manage the monthly inventory of materials.
- Monitor, track and report the production of crews and equipment.
- Track quality metrics and introduce corrective actions to reduce call-backs.
- Report key financial information monthly / weekly such as forecasted revenue, and costs
- Assurance on-going compliance with DOT and federal rules and regulations.
- Set goals and objectives for personnel assigned to field operations.
- Motivate and communicate with personnel in both a team and individual environments.
- Measure on-going employee performance.
- Develop employees to meet the future needs of the branch.
- Collaborating with the Estimator to provide input regarding projects bidding, and capacity.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in construction management or minimum of 10 years of management or supervisory experience preferably in the construction or pavement marking industry.Aptitude for mathematics / conversions and analytical thought processes.Ability to analyze, compare and interpret detailed project plans.Knowledge of the pavement marking industry, requiredAbility to manage and communicate with all levels of employees.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Commitment to Safety and Quality workmanship.Ability to travel throughout Kansas and Missouri to oversee pavement marking operations.Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to always maintain a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.HTS is an Equal Opportunity Employer
