Job Purpose : Provides income to individuals and families by determining applicant's eligibility. Duties :
Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering documents.
Obtains required information by interviewing applicants, family members, and others; completing application.
Confirms application by verifying information.
Determines eligibility by applying regulations and memorandums.
Obtains approval of application by submitting determination for review.
Educates applicants / clients by explaining program requirements, options, interpretations, and determination.
Obtains assistance for applicants / clients by referring them to other programs.
Verifies client's continued eligibility by reviewing and verifying updated information in client's file.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; participating in quality reviews; reporting needed changes.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and tolerance levels; enforcing adherence to requirements; informing management of needed actions.
Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
