American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Cleveland, Ohio.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Stepdown position requiring 18 months of recent neuro stepdown experience and active OH or compact RN licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital neuro stepdown unit
  • Night shifts are 7 : 00pm to 7 : 30am, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Patient population consists of neuro stepdown cases
  • Experience with progressive care (PCU) preferred but not required
  • Travelers may be required to work every other holiday
  • Travelers must complete a negative 10-panel plus nicotine drug screen within 12 months of start
  • Permanent and per diem candidates must wait at least one year after previous employment at the hospital before returning
  • Candidates will need to complete onsite fingerprinting and badging prior to start
  • Pre-start and annual education modules are required
  • PBDS assessment is waived for this position
  • Nurses and CSTs are exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements at this time
  • Locals accepted at the same bill rate

    • Requirements

  • Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent neuro stepdown RN experience required
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications all required and must be current
  • Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable score
  • At least one reference from a managerial / supervisory role in neuro stepdown required
