Senior DevSecOps Engineer (TS / SCI)

Description :

Metric5 is seeking a highly experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support the Cache team, leading efforts to design, automate, secure, and optimize mission-critical cloud infrastructure in AWS GovCloud. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in CI / CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and security automation, with a proven track record of enabling secure and scalable solutions in compliance-driven environments.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring on-site presence five days per week at the client location in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities :

Architecture, Automation, and CI / CD Leadership

• Design and Implement CI / CD Pipelines : Lead the design, development, and maintenance of CI / CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to automate and accelerate application delivery, testing, and deployment into secure AWS environments.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Architect, build, and manage scalable and resilient infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• AWS GovCloud Engineering : Design and maintain secure, compliant, and highly available systems in AWS GovCloud, ensuring adherence to FedRAMP and agency-specific security requirements.
• Containerization & Serverless : Develop and manage containerized and serverless solutions using AWS Fargate, Lambda, and related services.
• System Optimization : Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Education & Certifications

Years of Experience : 10+ years of relevant experience

Salary : $150,000 - $160,000 Annually

Clearance : US Citizen with TS / SCI Clearance

Location : The candidate must be local to the Washington, D.C. area and able to report on-site.
