VHS is looking for a qualified Technician - Surgical.
Description : This job assists in procedures competently and professionally ensures appropriate handling and maintenance of equipment and supplies and ensures availability of equipment and supplies for surgical procedures. Scrubs for surgical procedures and performs other duties as assigned by the registered nurse RN.
Education Required - High school diploma or equivalent and graduate from an accepted course in surgical technology certification.
Experience Required - 2 year of experience in specialty
Certifications Required - Certification in Surgical Technology.Basic Life Support BLS through American Heart Association.
KSAsGood organizational skills.Good time management skills and ability to be self directed.Ability to demonstrate good judgement.
Job DutiesPerforms direct patient care duties including assisting physicians during procedures.Assists in the day-to-day operations of the department.Maintains required clinical knowledge technical skills equipment training and credentials.Adapts to change in a positive constructive manner.Ensures cleanliness and / disinfection of endoscopes while maintaining quality control measures.Performs other related duties as required.The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only.
