Remote Behavioral Health Therapist

Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems, Inc. (SVCHS) is a Federally Qualified Health Center committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to the communities we serve. Our integrated care model supports whole-person health through collaboration between primary care and behavioral health teams.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Provider to join our multidisciplinary team. This role delivers behavioral health services both onsite and via telehealth and provides consultation support to primary care providers.

• Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Provider is responsible for assessing and treating patients and families with mental health and behavioral health needs. This role delivers individual, group, and family treatment, supports integrated care planning, and assists primary care providers with behavioral health consultation. Services are provided within SVCHS facilities and through telehealth platforms.

• Key Responsibilities
• Conducts behavioral health screenings and assessments.
• Provides outpatient therapy using individual, group, and family modalities (in-person and telehealth).
• Works collaboratively with primary care providers to recognize, diagnose, and treat behavioral health concerns.
• Supports patients in improving coping skills and reducing symptoms related to chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, chronic pain, hypertension).
• Participates in integrated care team activities including treatment planning, team meetings, and case discussions.
• Maintains accurate, timely documentation in accordance with SVCHS medical records policies.
• Adheres to confidentiality laws, policies, and ethical standards.
• Meets organizational productivity standards established by the SVCHS Board.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Qualifications
• Licensed or license-eligible Behavioral Health Provider (LCSW, LPC, Psychologist, or equivalent).
• Experience providing outpatient mental health and behavioral health services preferred.
• Familiarity with integrated care models or willingness to work closely with primary care teams.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to provide care both in person and through telehealth platforms.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $50,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
