Position Title : Gastroenterologist

Location : Lebanon Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC)

Work Schedule : Full-time, On-site

Regular Hours : Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm

Weeknight Call : Monday to Friday, 4 : 30 pm to 8 : 00 am

Weekend / Holiday Call : Saturday and Sunday, 24 / 7

Compensation : Competitive salary, Call back and overtime compensation

Job Overview :

We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for the Lebanon Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). In this role, you will provide comprehensive outpatient clinic services for gastroenterology, conduct endoscopy procedures, and offer inpatient gastroenterology consultations for medical care on-site.

Responsibilities :

Outpatient Clinic Services :

Conduct comprehensive assessments and examinations for patients presenting with gastrointestinal symptoms.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient history, diagnostic tests, and clinical findings.
• Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding gastrointestinal health, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.

Endoscopy Procedures :

Perform a variety of endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy.

Inpatient Gastroenterology Consultations :

Respond promptly to requests for gastroenterology consultations from inpatient medical teams.

On-call Responsibilities :

Be available for weeknight call coverage from Monday to Friday, 4 : 30 pm to 8 : 00 am, to respond to urgent gastroenterology consults and emergencies.
