Job Overview

We’re hiring a dynamic Retail Store Manager to lead our in-person retail experience for three to four months in NYC. This opportunity blends on-the-ground retail leadership with digital community-building and event activations, ideal for someone passionate about customer connection and plus-size inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead daily operations and deliver exceptional in-store experiences and manage staff.
  • Serve as an on-the-ground brand ambassador, building authentic customer relationships.
  • Hire, train, and lead a retail team focused on inclusivity, service, and product expertise.
  • Support and help execute community events, brand activations, and in-store moments.
  • Partner with local organizations and influencers to grow our brand's grassroots presence
  • Oversee inventory, visual merchandising, and maintain a welcoming, organized store environment.
  • Track and report on sales, event turnout, customer feedback, and in-store engagement patterns.
  • Collaborate with marketing to capture and share meaningful customer experiences in social and email.
  • Drive store performance and contribute grassroots marketing ideas to grow awareness.
  • Take customer Measurements, provide styling advice and record data / insights as part of a private / personalized customer experience
  • Drive sign-ups to online website and followers on social media
  • Work with marketing to co-create inclusive content, campaigns, and community-driven experiences. (for example, Instagram “Live” from the store)
  • Analyze social engagement trends and continuously refine store social content strategies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in retail management; fashion experience a plus.
  • Passionate about inclusivity, representation, and community building.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills with experience motivating diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational and customer service abilities.
  • Familiarity with retail systems, event planning, and social media platforms.
  • Comfortable shifting from a physical retail role to a digital-first community focus
