The City Forum is looking for an energetic and hands-on Kitchen Shift Manager to lead daily kitchen operations across two fun and fast-paced food prep and service areas. You’ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality food, smooth service, and a clean, safe work environment.

✅ What You’ll Be Doing
Guest Satisfaction
Ensure guests consistently receive friendly, fast, and high-quality service.
Maintain presentation and portion standards according to recipes.
Handle guest feedback and escalate concerns when necessary.
Coordinate with front-of-house and events teams for smooth service.
Kitchen Operations
Lead and support kitchen team members during shifts.
Move between prep and service areas to manage flow and task execution.
Oversee food quality, prep timing, and shift-level inventory needs.
Keep kitchens safe, clean, and stocked; report any equipment or supply issues.
Support training and coaching for new and existing team members.
Policy & Procedure Compliance
Enforce all food safety, sanitation, and health code standards.
Ensure compliance with inventory procedures, cash handling, and shift checklists.
Follow company SOPs for ordering, receiving, and storing supplies.

📋 What You’ll Need
High school diploma or equivalent (culinary training a plus).
Experience in food service or hospitality (leadership experience preferred).
Strong multitasking and communication skills.
ServSafe or food handler certification preferred.
Familiarity with POS systems, inventory, and scheduling tools is a plus.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
🏃♂️ Physical Requirements
Standing and walking for long periods during shifts.
Frequent bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and reaching.
Working in varied environments (hot kitchens, coolers, freezers).
Ability to handle kitchen tools, read screens and labels, and assist with event setup.
