Step into Your New Role

As a Construction Inspector-Senior , you will perform general construction inspection tasks to verify compliance standards codes, and ordinances, zoning regulations, as well as contract plans, specifications, and special provisions. Projects will consist of bridges, roadways, and environmental components to these services. This position is available in Northern Virginia, Richmond, Lynchburg, Christiansburg, and Hampton Roads areas of VA.

Responsibilities :

• Inspects and monitors construction sites and the various work activities on these sites to verify adherence to standards, codes, and specifications.
• Prepares and submits daily reports documenting inspections and other relevant project information.
• Must adhere to all project contract documentation and testing of materials associated with inspections.
• Assists in the preparation of contract change orders, contract estimates, progress pay estimates, and other documents or reports required by the project.
• Verifies lines and grades of project improvements.
• Coordinate and perform field testing of materials associated with inspection as required.
• Implement quantity calculations for pay estimates.
• Performs analytical calculations such as basic earthwork, grading, profiles, and special staking procedures.
• Communicates verbally and in writing with contractor, owner, and project stakeholders as directed.
• Ability to act as the on-site Administrator in the absence of the on-site Administrator.
• May direct and coordinate assigned staff as well as mentor's technical expertise with others.
• Actively participate in Kleinfelder's Safety Programs.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Equal Pay Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range : $28-$37 / hr.
