Sr Building and Grounds Assistant (Groundskeeping)

Job Posting

Primarily in groundskeeping services, performs a variety of technical tasks in care of campus grounds - to include mowing, trimming, raking, removing shrubs and trees. May perform custodial and technical tasks related to setting up for events and maintaining the University's buildings, facilities, and grounds in a clean, neat, and safe manner. Hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm.

Essential Duties

• Performs groundskeeping tasks, including mowing, trimming, raking, removing shrubs and trees.
• Assists in the set up and break down for events; arranges tables, chairs, and staging; moves technical equipment.
• May set up and operate technical equipment including lighting and sounds system.
• May operate moving equipment including fork lift and high lift.
• Picks up trash and / or litter from University buildings and / or grounds; empties trash receptacles.
• Performs custodial or groundskeeping tasks which may include mowing, trimming, raking, removing shrubs and trees, sweeping, mopping, dusting, or vacuuming.
