The H&R market sector includes clients that own and operate highways, toll roads, city, town and local roads, and bridge structures. Primary professional services include bridge and highway design, traffic engineering, transportation planning and tolling services.

An understanding of H&R clients, their funding and revenue streams, and their existence within state, federal, and local governmental structures, is the foundation of this role.

Primary Responsibilities

The Market Sector Director’s responsibilities fall into three areas :

• Market leadership and business development (approximately 70%)
• Staff development (approximately 20%)
• Support to Operations (approximately 10%)

Key duties include :

Staff Development

The Market Sector Director leads an organization focused on delivering for clients, winning work, and providing growth opportunities for staff. Responsibilities include recruitment and development of market sector personnel.

Support to Operations

Assist Regional Business Group Directors and area managers in delivering professional services for area projects within the market sector. Responsibilities include client management, monitoring market sector P&L, evaluating staff assignments, promoting work-sharing, ensuring project delivery, and supporting QA / QC programs.
