General Responsibilities :

Terracon is growing and seeking to hire an Asbestos & Environmental Field Scientist in our Hartford, CT area office. We work on exciting projects including commercial, transportation, energy, and federal projects throughout New England and New York state. This position is for an enthusiastic professional who will be responsible for assisting in the planning, scheduling and execution of various environmental services assignments on projects varying in size and complexity. The successful candidate will be eager to learn and grow into all phases of environmental consultation including asbestos-hazardous building materials assessments and environmental site assessments. General Responsibilities

• Perform tests and sampling of environmental materials including air, groundwater, building materials, and noise. Operates field monitoring equipment.
• Assists with asbestos, mold, other IH surveys and abatement / remediation projects.
• Conducts work in support of and prepares Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM Standard E1527-21, Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments : Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process to identify recognized environmental conditions and other conditions of environmental concern for a project and related off-site properties in accordance with ASTM.
• Tabulate and prepare data for written reports.
• Adhere to strict safety standards.

The expected salary range for this position is listed below. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Minimum $55900 - Maximum $78200
