Collateral Underwriter

A company is looking for a Collateral Underwriter. Key Responsibilities Review and analyze residential and investment property appraisals for compliance with relevant standards Evaluate collateral for various Non-QM products and identify valuation risks in appraisal reports Provide mentorship and participate in team meetings and training initiatives Required Qualifications 4+ years of experience in mortgage underwriting with a focus on appraisal / collateral review Proficient knowledge of USPAP, FNMA / FHLMC guidelines, and Non-QM lending practices Experience evaluating diverse property types, including rural and complex appraisals Familiarity with LOS and appraisal platforms Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
