Job description

Job Title : Production Assembler

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, mills, boring machines, and grinders to machine metallic and non-metallic pieces.
  • Trim, drill, route, line up, and assemble material.
  • Work with forming machines and presses.
  • Set up and break down production tools and production aids.
  • Use gauges, scales, calipers, and other measuring equipment to check and follow work orders, set up cards, and other instructions for work processes.
  • Perform daily maintenance on machines, including maintaining fluid levels, emptying chips, and wiping down machines to remove coolant, dust, and debris.
  • Check and monitor the parts being run.
  • Deburr and blend all machined parts.

Essential Skills

  • 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry preferred.
  • Capability to read basic dimensions and tolerances of blueprints.
  • Math skills to perform basic calculations.
  • Ability to read measuring equipment (Calipers / Micrometers).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
