Director of Behavioral Health Services

Advanced Behavioral Health is on the lookout for an experienced Director of Behavioral Health Services to lead our medical teams and enhance client outcomes at our Frederick, MD or Gaithersburg, MD office. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in strategic planning, program development, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure quality care delivery.

As the Medical Director, you will supervise and support our team of medical practitioners while also providing essential psychiatric care and medication management to clients. We seek a candidate with exceptional leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for advancing behavioral health services in our communities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as attending Psychiatrist or Nurse Practitioner, performing initial evaluations and documenting patient progress.
• Conduct risk assessments, create treatment plans, and manage medication workflows alongside the clinical team.
• Guide, mentor, and train the prescriber team, conducting performance and peer reviews.
• Facilitate collaborations with local schools, creating internship opportunities for Nurse Practitioner Interns.
• Monitor clinical performance and lead quality improvement initiatives to meet regulatory standards.
• Develop and update psychiatric care policies to align with current research and regulations.
• Improve community presence through networking with healthcare providers and organizations.
• Work closely with the CEO on strategies for community outreach and psychiatric service promotion.
• Manage budgets and analyze financial trends for sustainable practice operation.
• Stay updated with medical advancements and integrate them into care strategies.
