Industrial Engineer Co-op will work on-site with all functions of the manufacturing team to improve productivity and process maturity. The role will offer opportunities to lead cost saving initiatives throughout the site and to have a true impact on the financial success of the team. Activities can include kaizen events, time studies, digital solutions, and layout / flow optimization.

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

What You Will Do :

• Support manufacturing processes including : equipment, floor layouts, work sequence, work instructions, procedures, and work flow.
• Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory, and production record systems.
• Review products / processes for quality, safety, and producibility risks and work with design to incorporate changes to eliminate the risks
• Design and 3D print fixtures and tooling to aid in process improvement.
• Independently resolve problems that are difficult and often complex.
• Develop tactical plans to manage day-to-day challenges
