We provide a range of services for families and households across Southeastern Massachusetts.
Job Summary
The Fuel Assistance Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for individuals seeking information and assistance with fuel and energy-related programs in the Brockton area. This role combines traditional receptionist duties with providing basic information about eligibility, application processes, and available resources. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, organized, and possess excellent communication skills to effectively assist a diverse clientele
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide basic information to callers and visitors regarding fuel assistance programs
 - Assist individuals in locating and accessing application forms and other necessary documents
 - Assist with basic data entry or record-keeping related to client interactions
 - Interact with clients in a respectful, patient, and understanding manner, recognizing the often sensitive nature of their needs
 - Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with program policies and regulations
 - Communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and circumstances
 - Assist in resolving basic client inquiries or directing them to the appropriate staff member for more complex issues
 - Assist with program-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor
 - Maintain a safe and organized work environment
 - Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required
 - Books appointments as necessary.
 - Follows appointment log a regular basis. Makes necessary changes to appointments as needed
 - Coordinates emergency appointments with the Informational Specialists
 - Directs the proper handling of FedEx / UP packages
 - Provides information regarding a client’s application by researching information on the computer

Must pass a criminal background check and other required clearancesValid driver's license and reliable transportation is requiredSchedule

High School Diploma or GED required.
