The holiday season is our busiest and most exciting time of year. As a Seasonal Electroplating Technician , you’ll play a key role in finishing personalized jewelry pieces with gold and rose gold coatings while supporting other stages of production during peak demand. This hands-on role offers training, skill development, and the opportunity to contribute directly to products that make memorable gifts.

Overview
The Seasonal Electroplater is responsible for preparing and electroplating jewelry pieces—such as necklaces and rings—with gold and rose gold finishes. This position requires strong attention to detail, steady hands, and the ability to follow step-by-step procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality results. Training is provided , making it an excellent opportunity to learn specialized jewelry production techniques. Training may begin with reduced hours, and schedules expand as production ramps up toward peak.
Key Responsibilities
- Electroplate jewelry pieces (necklaces, rings, and other items) with gold and rose gold finishes according to established quality standards.
- Prepare and clean metal pieces before plating to ensure proper adhesion and smooth finish.
- Monitor plating baths, solution levels, and equipment performance.
- Inspect finished pieces for coating thickness, color consistency, and surface quality.
- Safely handle chemicals and follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Record production data, such as quantities completed and materials used.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
- Assist Jewelry Assemblers and Laser Etchers with order preparation, engraving coordination, and product flow.
- Support the Packing & Shipping team with boxing, labeling, or staging plated jewelry for shipment.
- Cross-train and assist other jewelry production areas as needed during seasonal demand.
Qualifications and Skills
Excellent attention to detail and precision handling of small, delicate jewelry items.Willingness to learn and follow detailed plating and safety procedures.Comfortable working with chemicals, hand tools, and plating equipment (training provided).Dependable, adaptable, and able to assist in multiple production areas.Team-oriented with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.No prior electroplating experience required—comprehensive training provided.Previous experience in jewelry, metalwork, assembly, or production is a plus.Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.Strong visual acuity for inspecting fine jewelry details.Comfortable working near plating equipment and chemical solutions.Seasonal Schedules
Employment runs early–mid October through mid-December (exact dates depend on production volume).Training schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 am – 4 : 00 pmTraining schedules may begin with reduced hours until the season fully ramps up.
Our production schedule is scaled with holiday demand. Your preference for day and night shifts is used when assigning shifts as the season progresses.Shift options we use during the season :
