Field Engineer

Overview

The Field Engineer position at Shimizu North America fills a critical support role within our Construction Department; supporting the PM and General Supt. and assisting in the administrative functions on multi-million-dollar construction projects. The Field Engineer is exposed to the entire lifecycle of major construction projects from estimating and bidding through punch list and project close-out. As you develop in this role, we will add more responsibilities as you demonstrate a solid understanding of assigned tasks and continually execute deliverables.

Responsibilities

• BID PACKAGES : Bid Package Preparation
• Assist PM to create scopes of work.
• Create Bid Packages as necessary.
• Notify contractors of pending bid packages to generate interest and send invitations
• Call on contractors to confirm receipt and ensure proper bid coverage
• Respond to contractor RFIs and provide prompt responses
• Work with PM to level bids
