Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with KY or compact license, advanced certifications, and critical care expertise.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 30)
  • Care for critically ill adult patients requiring mechanical ventilation, arterial lines, vasoactive drips, sedation, and chest tubes
  • Uses advanced equipment including Flotrac
  • Candidates may float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
  • Level 1 trauma experience required for most units
  • Responsibilities include advanced critical care interventions and monitoring
  • Floating to other units or affiliate hospitals may be required
  • Scheduled on-call duties expected for 2-3 shifts per 6-week period
  • Full IR PACU call team processes for after-hours recoveries and main PACU transfers
  • Orientation includes required modules completed during onboarding and annually
  • Must be gone for at least 90 days to be eligible as a returning traveler
  • RTO must be requested at the time of application; late RTO requests will not be approved

  • Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • No license disciplinary history will be accepted
  • One reference from a charge nurse or supervisor is required
  • Previous employment at this health system must be disclosed for rehire eligibility check
  • Locals within a 75-mile radius are not eligible
