Essential Job Functions :
Assists mechanics in performing preventive maintenance inspections on tractors and cargo tank trailers.Assists with performing moderate to complex repairs on engines, drive trains, brakes, suspension systems, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, alternators, electrical systems, instrumentations, trailer bulk product transfer, handling and storage systems, and other necessary power equipment.Operate steaming machineryConnect, monitor, and disconnect steam to the heating coils of a loaded cargo tank.Documents heating operations on a steam log.Compare product name on the bill of lading with Safety Data Sheet (SDS) to verify product name is the same on both documents prior to conducting steam operations.Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the job :
High School Diploma or equivalent required, trade or technical school graduate1-2 years of basic maintenance and / or mechanic experienceValid driver’s licenseStrong computer skillsAbility to carry out instructions accuratelyAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructionsAble to operate heavy machinery similar to steamer or boilerDemonstrate knowledge and understanding of mechanical componentsKnowledge of using standard hand and power toolsTeam playerQuality Carriers is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
