Patient Care Technician
Patient Care Technician for our Surgical Co-Caring unit at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. Positions available will work 12-hour day shifts. There may be full-time or part-time options available and will be discussed if interviewed.
Under general supervision by the RN, the Patient Care Tech is responsible for providing basic nursing care for in-patients and out-patients as needed, within their specified area and when needed provides nursing staff with clerical support to assist in facilitating patient care. The Patient Care Tech is responsible for collecting and reporting information to the supervising RN and completion of all patient care related documentation.
Co-Caring is a new model of care delivery including a collaborative partnership of bedside (RN and LVN) and virtual caregivers (RN), each practicing at the top of their scope to deliver high quality care and an exceptional patient experience. We are a 33-bed surgical unit with primarily surgical ortho trauma admissions from the Emergency Department and transfers from PACU / NSI / SICU. We treat patients with elective and non-elective surgeries. Our elective surgeries are mostly spine surgeries and a few joint replacements. Our non-elective surgeries are trauma (accidents, falls), appy / chole / small bowel obstructions, and a handful of medical (cellulitis, infections).
