Job Title : Medical Assistant

Primary Location : Portsmouth, VA (Must be willing to travel to all locations - see below)

Hours : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Position Overview :

Tidewater Neurologists, Inc. and Sleep Disorder Specialists are seeking a dedicated and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity offering professional growth and the chance to make a meaningful impact in patient care.

Please note : This position requires regular travel to all clinical locations in Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, and Portsmouth. Applicants must be comfortable commuting between sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Prepare and maintain patients’ medical records and documentation
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring effective communication
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical supplies
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient care
• Perform administrative duties, including data entry and record management using Microsoft Office and Excel
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients and their families
