Join Our Team as a Service Department Rental Agent with Columbus Auto Group

Are you a customer-focused individual with excellent organizational skills? Do you enjoy helping people and thrive in a fast-paced environment? Columbus Auto Group is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Rental Agent to join our Executive team.

About the Role :

As a Service Department Rental Agent, you will be the primary point of contact for both customers and our service advisors with customers needing a rental vehicle while their car is being serviced. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for our customers, providing them with reliable transportation and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist customers with rental vehicle selection, paperwork, and agreements.
  • Explain rental terms, conditions, and insurance options clearly and concisely.
  • Inspect vehicles for damage before and after rentals.
  • Manage rental fleet inventory and ensure vehicles are clean and ready for use.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate rental records.
  • Coordinate with the Service Department to ensure timely vehicle availability.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and address any customer inquiries or concerns.

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in customer service, rental car, or automotive industry preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and DealerTrack Software and TSD Software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
