We are looking for a Radiologic Technologist to work at our new office in Traverse City! This will be a full-time job working dayshift hours Monday to Friday.
Position Summary :
ACV operates a network of highly specialized outpatient endovascular care facilities. All ACV employees are members of the same team, regardless of their primary work location. The Radiologic Technologist is a key member of the cardiovascular practice who helps provide an atmosphere of compassionate and quality care to patients and their families. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Adheres to all policies related to PHI and HIPAA privacy practices.
Working Conditions :
- Hourly, as needed
- Moderate physical effort required, frequent lifting of patients, medical equipment and supplies
- Moderate computer and phone usage
- Frequent walking throughout clinic locations
- Frequent standing for long periods of time
- Frequent talking
- Frequent need to wear lead apron / radiation protection equipment
- Frequent need to observe universal precautions / sterile operating room procedures
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling
- Occasionally exposed to loud noise
Qualifications :
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification : PreferredMinimum of Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology : PreferredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS / CPR) : Within 90 days of hireCurrent Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) : preferredMinimum one-year experience as a Radiologic Technologist : PreferredCardiovascular and / or peripheral vascular disease experience : PreferredCardiac catheterization lab experience : PreferredIn good physical and mental healthDetail oriented, thorough and exactSpecific Duties :
Assists in giving quality patient care to ACV patients and in other areas as neededMaintain an orderly, efficient, and timely flow of patientsAssist physicians with various endovascular proceduresObserves universal precautions and utilizes sterile techniquesObserves the ALARA safety principle, ensuring minimal radiation doses are used during proceduresPrepares patients for endovascular proceduresHelps maintain and verifies that radiation generating (X-Ray) equipment is in working orderMaintain a clean and orderly procedure rooms, common areas and workspaceCheck procedure rooms daily and restock with supplies as neededProvide continuity of care, professional communication with all team members in a fast-paced work environmentAssess patient / family level of understanding to enhance effective communication and educationProvide support to research trial assessment and proceduresOther duties as assigned by leadership and supervisory staff
