MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (Food Production Facility – Central Virginia)

Salary : $80K - $90K- Commensurate with experience

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance and performance of equipment at a high-volume food processing and packaging facility in central Virginia. This hands-on role involves preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement to minimize downtime and support production efficiency. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can lead maintenance operations, communicate effectively with production teams, and ensure smooth equipment functionality across all departments.

This position requires on-call availability for emergency maintenance issues and includes approximately six weeks of initial training at another company facility in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial food production and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to maintain equipment uptime.
• Conduct diagnostics and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and tools to minimize downtime.
• Supervise and train maintenance technicians, ensuring adherence to procedures and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with operations and production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
