Job descriptionWork in a 26-bed Med / Surg Telemetry unit within a tertiary care hospital Patient population includes post PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post MI, and cardiac pharmacological interventions Typical patient ratio is 1 : 5 to 1 : 7 Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (19 : 00-07 : 00) Required to work every other weekend and holidays Floating required as directed by the facility Uses Epic EMR system Responsible for care of patients recovering from cardiac procedures and interventions Must be able to maintain isolation precautions as needed Scrub attire must be any combination of navy and white Holiday coverage is required based on department needs Return staff must have at least a 1-year gap since prior assignment at facility Pre-start modules required, with up to 5 hours compensated Active NY RN license in hand is required for consideration Current BLS certification required Minimum of 1 year Med / Surg Tele nursing experience Proficiency in Epic charting system required Experience in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response / code protocols, and peripheral IV therapy Ability to manage respiratory therapies including nasal cannula, oxygen masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
