Associate Ambassador
Reports To : Education Network Director
Status : Part Time or Possible Full Time
Overview : The Education Network Associate Ambassador is a full-time, year-round, exempt position centered on supporting the mission of the ODC Network as a full-time educator. This position supports the Education Network Mission and the Mission of the ODC Network as a support professional in education.

Primary Responsibilities :
- Supporting the ODC Network Mission through education and conservation as an education professional.
- Assisting the delivery of high quality education services to school partnerships.
- Assisting the management and distribution of ODC Education Network materials, supplies, and texts.
- Supporting the ODC Ambassador team with school partnerships in West Michigan
- Leading nature based education activities and lessons
- Interpreting natural phenomena, natural history, and cultural history as needed. (Experience not necessary, just willingness to learn!)
Supervision and Evaluation :
Day to day responsibilities will be supervised by ODC Education Network Director as well as the Curriculum and Professional Development Manager.Position will be measured on level of support of Education Network Goals and Implementation of Quality Service and Products.Qualitative and quantitative performance feedback from school partners as well as ODC Education Network Leadership.Ability to complete tasks as assigned in a timely and complete fashion.Ability to support the ODC Network Mission and Development.Desired Skills :
Ability to safely operate vehicles and tools associated with education and programming at the ODC Network.Strong organizational skills with an ability to adapt to change.Willingness to develop and implement time use plans and timelines.Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.Occasionally able to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to develop relationships with school partners to enhance the mission and partnerships with the ODC Network.Ability to proficiently write and communicate internally and externally.Ability to perform or learn technology skills as needed to support the mission of the ODC Network.Organizational Responsibility : The Education Network Associate Ambassador will work in conjunction with the Education Network to carry out the mission of the ODC Network.
Education / Experience :
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in education (Preferred)
A valid teaching certificate in the State of Michigan (Preferred)
Experience in a nature-rich education setting
Physical Demands :
This position requires the ability to work outside in various weather conditions. Must be able to occasionally lift to 50 pounds and walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
