Management Analyst
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Management Analyst to serve in The Office of National Security, within the Immediate Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The Management Analyst position will assist with administrative support and will provide documentation management, risk indicator tracking, and operational support to senior personnel.
The responsibilities of the Management Analyst include :
- Effectively promoting HHS initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Developing data required for use in the management and direction of programs
- Researching and investigating new or improved business and management practices for application to agency programs or operations
- Advising on the potential benefits / uses of automation to improve the efficiency of administrative support or program operations
- Analyzing and evaluating (on a quantitative or qualitative basis) the effectiveness of line program operations in meeting established goals and objectives
- Providing feedback and recommendations to the current and draft Strategic Plans and initiatives
- Planning, developing, and executing complex, controversial and / or sensitive policies
- Negotiating, coordinating, and integrating assigned mission and programs
- Assisting in the development, coordination, and implementation of strategic critical infrastructure plans and updating these plans in databases
- Gathering information; identifying and analyzing relatively straightforward issues and developing recommendations for critical programs
- Providing situational awareness during regional contingencies, exercises, and special events to regional leadership in accordance with predetermined standard operating procedures
- Serving as a technical resource for subordinate organizations in the implementation and continued administration of assigned programs, operations, and management initiatives
What we are looking for includes :
10 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's in a related field; 8 years of relevant experience with a master's in a related field; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 14 years of relevant experienceExcellent technical writing skills to include spelling, grammar, and punctuationMust be proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong verbal communication skills and the ability to work with othersFamiliarity with Security Classification Guides (SCGs) and Classification Management Tool (CMT)Working knowledge of Adobe AcrobatTS / SCI security clearance1-3 years' experience in technical writing or editing with at least one year working in the Intelligence CommunityPreferred : bonus points for :
Ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities and demands in a dynamic environmentFrequent interaction with customers and functional peer groups to support collaboration and project successOccasional interaction with senior management to provide updates, insights, or recommendationsEngagement in discussions that typically involve cross-functional matters between divisions, units, customers, and the departmentWorking knowledge of Adobe InDesign to support documentation, reporting, and presentation needsPhysical requirements include minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
