Salary : $14-$17.51
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Center Director, the Food Service Aide duties shall include, but are not limited to, the following :
Specific Job Duties
- Maintain compliance with all NC Day Care licensing regulations (ITERS / ECERS), sanitation requirements, Head Start Performance Standards, DPI standards, NCPK regulations, CACFP regulations, and BRCA policies.
- Store all supplies in manner required by NC Day Care Licensing Regulations.
- Keep current menu posted at all times.
- Record food temperatures upon food arrival and before serving, notifying supervisor immediately if proper temperatures have not been maintained.
- Post allergies and / or special dietary needs of individual children.
- Portion breakfast, lunch and snack meals according to CACFP guidelines.
- Maintain clean and orderly food service area.
- Cover in classrooms during staff lunches / breaks.
- Complete 10 hours of training per year to meet minimum NC day care licensing requirements and complete CACFP training hours as specified by BRCA.
- Work as a substitute or as a second classroom staff person as needed.

Education
AA degree in Early Childhood Education or Birth-Kindergarten.
Experience
One (1) year verifiable day care experience with children birth-5 years old.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must have a valid NC Drivers License
