Pay Range - $24 / hr on W2

Position Summary

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of our organization, providing compassionate, professional service to patients during routine health visits or critical testing moments. This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing them for laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the Area Supervisor.
  • Collect clinical and forensic specimens following established procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere of trust and confidence for patients.
  • Clearly explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort during specimen collection.
  • Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and handling of all specimens.
  • Maintain all required records and documentation accurately.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence.
  • Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent - Required
  • Medical training (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic) - Preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification - Preferred
  • (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)

    Experience

  • Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience - Required
  • 1+ years of phlebotomy experience - Preferred
  • Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients - Preferred
  • Customer service experience in retail or service setting - Preferred
  • Proficiency in data entry and use of basic computer systems - Required
  • Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent phlebotomy skills and patient care techniques
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
  • Flexibility to accommodate staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime shifts
