Primary Job Requirements and Duties of an Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

Qualifications and Licensing

• Hold a current and valid license as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas ( open to new grads ).
• Maintain board certification appropriate to the area of practice.
• Possess a valid DEA license for prescribing medications, if applicable.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Ability to work extended hours and respond to patient needs during off-hours if required.
• Ability to travel to Weatherford, SW Fort Worth and Fort Worth (hospital district)

Primary Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

Accurately document patient encounters, diagnoses, and treatment plans in the electronic health record (EHR).

Prescribe medications based on patient needs and in accordance with state laws and protocols.

Educate patients on chronic disease management, healthy lifestyle choices, and medication adherence.

Stay updated on advancements in medical science, treatments, and technologies relevant to the role.

Assist in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and procedures.
