SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital is looking for dedicated individuals to fill the role of Registered Nurse in our ICU Stepdown unit.

Position Highlights :

Shift : Night shifts available.

Role Overview :

As an RN in the ICU Stepdown unit, you will provide vital nursing care in alignment with established guidelines and assist patients and their families in achieving the highest quality of life and care.

Key Responsibilities :

• Utilize evidence-based medical-surgical nursing practices to enhance patient care.
• Foster strong relationships with patients and their families, advocating for their unique needs.
• Employ the nursing process to create and implement patient care plans, evaluate outcomes, and make necessary adjustments.
• Address all aspects of a patient’s well-being including physical, emotional, and social dimensions.
• Guide patients and families on health promotion and restoration techniques.
• Engage in collaborative decision-making with the healthcare team to provide culturally sensitive, ethical care.
• Mentor and act as a role model for team members and nursing students.
• Maintain a safe and effective work environment while adhering to all safety policies.
• Perform other responsibilities as required.
