Position Mission / Summary
The Sr. Materials Planning Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight to the Materials Planning teams within the broader planning organization, ensuring the seamless execution of end-to-end material planning processes for a group of manufacturing facilities. The primary goal of the Materials Planning team is to optimize the availability of raw materials and finished goods across all contract and non-contract materials at a group of sites within a division or sector and ensure effective and efficient use of the MRP system. The Materials Planning Manager collaborates closely with Demand Planning, Production Planning & Control, Inventory, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency, maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize costs, and ensure timely delivery of products to customers. This role will be responsible for managing requisition backlogs, releasing requisitions in a timely manner, managing excess / obsolete inventory in MRP in partnership with the inventory teams, and ensuring material program requirements are met to support on-time delivery, material to MRP need date, program cost, and material availability.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, supply chain management, or other technical discipline.
5+ years of progressive experience in Materials, Planning, or Inventory management.
In-depth knowledge of MRP and ERP systems - SAP experience a plus.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large datasets.
Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.
Preferred Additional Skills
Knowledge of the SIOP process.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge in defense program planning desired but not required.
Six Sigma, Lean, or APICS certification; CPIM certification highly desired.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate, influence, and lead across multiple levels, teams, and business units.
Change agent and leader who can help transform the organization and maintain a high level of engagement.
Leads process improvement initiatives with little to no direction and supervision.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $123,500-229,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
