About Us: Ranger Environmental is an industrial and environmental cleaning company looking for motivated individuals to work in a fast-paced environment. These individuals should be well-experienced in identifying, locating, and marking underground utilities before excavation or construction projects. The role typically requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to prevent damage to essential infrastructure such as gas, electric, water, and communication lines.

Job Description:

We are an established underground utility contractor seeking an experienced Utility Operator to perform excavation and repair work around existing underground utilities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience safely exposing, repairing, and protecting live utility lines.

Responsibilities:

• Perform excavation around underground utilities using hand tools and equipment
• Safely expose live gas, water, sewer, electric, and communication lines
• Assist with repair, replacement, and maintenance of underground utilities
• Read and interpret utility locates, plans, and markings
• Operate small equipment (mini excavator, skid steer, backhoes, etc.) as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations
• Work closely with crew members, foremen, and inspectors

Requirements:

• Proven experience working around live underground utilities
• Strong understanding of utility locating and safe digging practices
• Ability to hand dig and work in tight or confined spaces
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
• Valid driver's license

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Proficient with computer software for reporting and data collection.
