Schedule / Hours : Full-time evening shifts with 8 or 10-hour rotations, Monday to Friday, including overnight and weekend on-call duties.

Major Responsibilities :

Prepare surgical materials and equipment, ensuring a clean, safe environment conducive to optimal patient care.

Utilize aseptic techniques in surgical preparation and assistance.

Set up operating rooms, operate equipment, and maintain supply inventory.

Function as a Second Assistant during procedures when necessary.

Notify staff of equipment or supply issues.

Transport patients or supplies as required.

Ensure specialty carts are well-stocked and in working order.

Demonstrate knowledge of patient needs across various age groups.

Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of hire.

Education Required :

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Experience Required :

No prior experience is necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :

Understanding aseptic techniques and surgical procedures.

Familiarity with operating room equipment.

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

Able to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Must be able to lift, carry, and move equipment and patients safely.

Exposure to various physical demands, including mechanical and biological hazards.

Required to maintain proper safety and hygiene protocols; including wearing protective gear.
