Job descriptionThis job is physically demanding – the average amount of totes per truck is roughly between 80 – 130, at 30lbs per tote. Per shift, the associate could be loading 6 – 10 trucks (15,000 – 21,000 lbs.). Each day could vary. Partially working in a temperature - controlled fast paced environment between 34 – 36 degrees. On your feet and moving for the duration of your shift. Manual lifting of cold chain totes up to 30 lbs. Bending, reaching, pushing, pulling walking. Stacking cold chain products onto trailers. Pulling empty bakery cans from trailers. Pushing U-boats from the cooler onto trailers. At all times, follow all SOP’s while also adhering to GMP policies. Ability to lift 30 lbs. Ability to push / pull 50lbs or more (on wheels). Performing other duties as assigned to include but not limited to; stamping / coding product, trailer loading / offloading (no PIT required), general warehouse clean u No prior warehouse experience required but preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required Flexible to work overtime preferred Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job Ability to work independently, customer service, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, and time management skills required Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required. While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and / or move up to 50lbs / 23kg and occasionally lift and / or move up to 100lbs / 45kg.
