Objective :
The Animal welfare and Biosecurity compliance Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that findings from internal and external audits are addressed promptly and effectively across all operational locations. This role supports continuous improvement by tracking corrective actions, collaborating with site teams, and maintaining compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Role and Responsibilities :
- Review audit reports related to welfare and biosecurity and identify required corrective actions.
- Develop and track corrective actions based on audit results
- Develop and maintain a centralized tracking system for audit outcomes, action plans and resolution status.
- Coordinate with site managers and department leads to ensure timely resolution of action items.
- Conduct follow-up visits or virtual check-ins to verify implementation of corrective measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Safety, Production, Finance) to support compliance efforts.
- Prepare regular status reports for leadership on audit resolution progress.
- Assist in updating SOPs and training materials based on audit outcomes.
- Support 3rd Party audit scheduling, preparation, and documentation as needed.
- Maintain Pork Quality Assurance site assessment documentation and corrective actions for all managed farms .
- Assist with welfare investigation documentation
Qualifications and Education Requirements :
2 or 4-year degree preferredWork Environment :
Agricultural swine environment in rural areaNoise levels that require hearing protection in some areasGestation, farrowing, and small swine care processesPhysical Requirements :
