Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Oregon RN license preferred

Current nursing certification

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) or perioperative nursing experience

BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)

Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

Ability to excel in a fast-paced clinical environment and adapt to multiple perioperative roles

OR RN Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care in the Operating Room and perioperative settings

Serve as RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures

Provide comprehensive care throughout the perioperative continuum in accordance with RN scope of practice and competencies

Perform secondary roles as scrub nurse or circulator as needed

Collaborate with the surgical healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold infection control standards
